Agreement

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the NYC Government Job Tracker mobile application, also displayed in parts of the App as NYC Jobs (the "App" or "Service"), provided by Restart Apps. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

Purpose and Independent Status

The App helps users browse New York City government job listings, save jobs and searches, create local alerts and reminders, review hiring insights, and access official application pages. Posting data is retrieved from NYC Open Data.

The App is independent and is not an official City of New York application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by the City of New York or any City agency.

Acceptable Use

You may use the App only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable laws and platform rules. You agree not to misuse or disrupt the App, attempt unauthorized access, introduce harmful code, or reverse engineer it except where applicable law permits.

Job Information and Applications

Listings, salaries, requirements, deadlines, agency information, locations, hiring insights, and other employment information are provided for convenience and informational purposes. We do not guarantee that any information is complete, current, accurate, or still available.

You are responsible for verifying every listing, deadline, qualification, and application requirement through official CityJobs before relying on it or applying. Restart Apps is not an employer, recruiter, or party to any application or hiring decision and does not guarantee interviews or employment.

Alerts, Reminders, and Saved Content

Alerts, notifications, reminders, saved jobs, and synced content are convenience features. We do not guarantee timely or successful delivery, inclusion of every matching opening, or permanent availability of saved or synced content. Monitor official sources for deadlines and changes.

Accounts

Optional account features use Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple with Firebase Authentication. You are responsible for the security of your device and sign-in account. You may delete your App account from Settings or follow the account-deletion instructions.

NYCJobs Pro and In-App Purchases

The App may offer NYCJobs Pro as a one-time, non-subscription in-app purchase. The features, limits, and price shown on the purchase screen apply at the time of purchase. Purchases and restorations are processed by Google Play or Apple's App Store and remain subject to the applicable store account, payment, refund, and platform terms.

Restart Apps does not directly process payment-card information or control app-store refund decisions. You are responsible for using the correct store account. Deleting your App account does not automatically refund or erase a purchase maintained by an app store.

Third-Party Services and Advertising

The App relies on third-party services including NYC Open Data, official CityJobs pages, Google and Apple sign-in services, Firebase, maps and location services, Google Play Billing, Apple StoreKit, Google AdMob, and consent tools. Third-party services, websites, ads, and stores are governed by their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, security, or practices.

Intellectual Property

The App's design, code, branding, and original materials are owned by Restart Apps or used with permission and are protected by applicable law. Government data, agency names, trademarks, and third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Restart Apps is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, opportunities, applications, interviews, or employment prospects arising from use of the App. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes and Contact

We may revise these Terms and will update the effective date when changes take effect. Your continued use of the App after that date means you accept the revised Terms.
